RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO ST. VINCENT CEMETERY GROUNDS

The Church considers this Cemetery to be a Holy place. The ground has been Blessed and the erected Cross is meant to be a sign to all, of Christian hope in the Resurrection. To insure the sacred character of our Cemetery with the mind and traditional practice of the Church and establish and maintain good order, the following rules and regulations are in effect.

  1. Visitors within the Cemetery shall use only the roads and walks, unless it is necessary to walk on the grass to obtain access to ones own plot. The Cemetery Authority expressly disclaim liability for any injuries sustained
    by anyone violating this rule.
  2. Lawns shall not be disturbed for any purpose. Planting of any kind including trees, shrubs, and plants is prohibited.
  3. The use of shells, toys, metal designs, ornaments, glass, plastic, crockery jars, or like containers, metal cases, barriers, pebbles, wooden crosses, iron furniture, arbors, separate concrete urns, images shall not be
    permitted and may be removed at the discretion of the Cemetery Authorities.
  4. The Cemetery Authorities shall not be responsible nor liable for vases floral pieces, baskets or flowers in which such floral pieces are attached.
  5. Planting of trees or shrubs on a plot is prohibited. The authorities reserve the right to remove or prune any such trees or shrubbery previously planted, which may encroach upon other lots, or, hinder the care and
    proper everyday maintenance of the cemetery grounds.
  6. Spring, Summer and Fall arrangements must be removed two (2) weeks prior to Thanksgiving Day; Winter arrangements must be removed two(2) weeks prior to Palm Sunday.
  7. Please remove any rubbish, such as old floral arrangements, from the Cemetery grounds. Throwing of rubbish on any part of the grounds, such as into the wooded areas is prohibited.
  8. Firearms and all other weapons are prohibited, except for approved Military Funerals and memorial services performed by duly constituted authorities. Hunting is strictly prohibited on Cemetery grounds.
  9. Idling, loitering or unlawful gatherings within the Cemetery grounds is prohibited.
  10. Cemetery hours will extend from dawn until dusk. Any person thereafter may be considered a trespasser.
